Associate Contact & Company from Deal Preview in HubSpot

No matter what you’re dealing with, HubSpot’s blog, marketing, and sales tools are there to help you ensure agency and customer success.

Association labels can describe relationships between HubSpot’s CRM objects. HubSpot accounts allow for users building on HubSpot to create and add connections to a company record. You don’t even have to go further than the preview page!

Once on your Deals page, find the deal you want to make associations to on the left side of the screen and click to create a sidebar preview.

Then, scroll down to the association you want to make and click “add.” From there, you can select the checkboxes to add existing contact records. However, if your desired contact isn’t one of the contacts in your HubSpot account, you can click to create a new one.

Using the same process, you can also create a new company to associate and fill out it’s information, starting with the company domain name.

Associating a contact or a company with a deal can easily be done from the preview. If I access my deal that I want to associate something to, I can just click on it and see the little preview pane pop up on the right-hand side.

As I scroll down, I can see that there are different associations that I can add to this deal here. You'll notice that under contacts, I already have a contact associated with this.

You'll see it's quite easy to remove by selecting the X to remove the association. A little pop-up will come up and I can select remove.

If I want to re-add that contact, all I have to do is press the add button.

I can associate a new contact that I can create directly here, or I can associate an existing contact by coming here and searching for contacts.

I select the contact I want to associate, mark save. I can do the exact same thing for companies. If I come here to the companies, I can add and either create a company directly from here, or I can search for an existing company.

You'll see in the results, the company pops up. Select the checkmark, go ahead and click save. Now I have both a company and a contact associated to this deal directly from the preview.
