So you want to go to Southbound, huh?

That’s awesome!

It’s gonna be an epic time at The Coca-Cola Roxy at the Battery in Atlanta on April 16th!

Bubble - Roxy Front Entrance

This is the biggest (and best) event in the HubSpot ecosystem (not named INBOUND), and you’re gonna have the time of your life and learn so much…

OH WAIT.

You still need to get the “ok” from your boss. And when it comes to attending events, getting that “ok” has been notoriously tricky.

Or maybe YOU’RE the boss and you want to convince yourself that it’s worth going (and maybe sending others from your company as well).

Ok, game plan: Anticipate the most common objections/questions your boss (possibly YOU) comes up with in situations like this and have a solid answer on deck!

Let’s get started!

Typical BIG BOSS Objection/Question #1: “Who’s Speaking? Are these people legit…or just professional presenters and deck designers?”

Slam dunk answer: The speakers at Southbound aren’t just talkers. They're builders. They’re founders. They’ve been in the trenches running teams and companies, have survived and thrived, and are here to spill the real tea on success.

Perhaps you’ve heard of HubSpot CEO Yamini Rangan, or Clay Co-Founder Varun Anand, or NY Times bestselling author Jon Acuff, or LinkedIn legend Jen Allen-Knuth, or GTM guru and GTM Partners Founder Sangram Vajre?

Well, they’ll all be speaking (along with many others!).

Typical BIG BOSS Objection/Question #2: “What’s this even about? Will this help us do our jobs better, or just give us nice slides?”

Slam dunk answer: The theme this year at Southbound is “Timeless Principles and Timely Plays for Growth”. The sessions will all address getting the fundamentals right while also learning how teams are actually working today, especially in GTM decisions and AI.

So yes, there will be pretty slides…but also an emphasis on getting your teams to make sure they're doing the right things at the right time for the right people.

Typical BIG BOSS Objection/Question #3 “Is it expensive?"

Slam dunk answer: Well, if we want to talk about cost, the cost of NOT going is continued unclear GTM decisions, slow execution, and repeating the same mistakes.

But Southbound is only $499, which is wayyyy below what most events charge.

Now we could just stop right there, and that’s an excellent answer. But just because you read this far, here’s a bonus discount code for 20% off (“CONVINCED”), now taking the price down to an absurdly low $399.20!

Typical BIG BOSS Objection/Question #4: “Why Atlanta? Will travel be complicated?"

Slam dunk answer: The travel part will be super simple. First of all, Atlanta is a major hub, so you’re talking about a direct flight there and back. Once there, it’s only about a 35-40 min Uber from the airport to the hotel, and the hotel is within easy walking distance from the venue…which by the way is the freakin’ Coca-Cola Roxy!

And the Roxy is part of “the Battery” in Atlanta, which is a mixed Commercial Space “neighborhood” where the Braves play. That’s right, we can catch Yamini’s keynote during the day and then watch Ronald Acuña hit some nukes at night. If we’re not feeling baseball, I hear Supered is throwing a ‘networking’ after party.

Typical BIG BOSS Objection/Question #5: “Can’t you just learn this stuff online? Why not a webinar?"

Slam dunk answer: Please, every webinar I’ve ever attended is just me with my camera off, reheating last night's dinner in the microwave two rooms away, and then working on my own tasks while someone babbles on and on. (Ok, don’t say that)

But…with webinars, you miss out on the human element, the real conversations about how other teams handle the same problems you have…and some of these industry leaders don't do random webinars (but they ARE at Southbound). Southbound is a unique opportunity to interact with GTM leaders in-person. And you just can’t replicate that through a screen.

Typical BIG BOSS Objection/Question #6: "Isn't this just one day of learning? What about after?"

Slam dunk answer: One of the HUGE perks of attending Southbound this year is the FREE access to RevPartners’ newest accredited training curriculum: RPX.

They’re designed and taught by RevPartners experts who've actually been in the RevOps trenches for years. Yep...they’re unlocking the vault to the same methodologies they use to train RP Strategists. You get access to “RevOps Fundamentals” and “Revenue Performance Modeling”.

So, no, the learning doesn't stop after the event!

Typical BIG BOSS Objection/Question #7: “Is this REALLY important enough to take off a day or two of work?”

Slam dunk answer: Well, Yamini Rangan has cleared her calendar for it…and she’s the CEO of HubSpot, which is a 19 billion dollar company. So if she thinks it’s worth going…shouldn’t we?

Ok, ok so your boss was impressed with all of your nifty answers and seems to be leaning towards you going…but a little social proof on top never hurts, right?

And there you go…you’re going to Southbound!

And if somehow this didn’t convince your boss…maybe that just means you need to find a new one. Just kidding. But not really.

See you April 16th!!!
